"Mired in scandal, a mayor goes missing" (CNN News) Vs. "Atlantic City Mayor To Resign After Disappearing From Sight" (Fox News)

The first thing that jumped out at me about these stories by Fox News and CNN News was that although these articles are about the mayor of Atlantic City undergoing scandal and disappearing from office, their headlines are drastically different. Fox News' headline made the claim that Atlantic City mayor Robert Levy would be resigning while the CNN News headline just made the claim that he had disappeared from his office.
However, after reading further into both stories, it appears that both the Fox News and CNN News article have the same content, they just chose to word the headline differently. One example is that both articles use the exact same picture of Robert Levy in their articles. Both articles also point to the reason behind Mayor Levy's scandal. Levy was under scrutiny for making false claims about being a green beret in the Vietnam War and for overexagerrating his service in the war to make more pension money. Additionally, both stories described how Levy has gone missing from office for the past week or so. Lastly, both articles more or less made the claim that Levy would be losing his job. The only difference was that the Fox news article stated that it was likely that Levy would be resigning formally after unreferenced speculation. So for the most part, the only differences between the two articles was in their headlines. I think this can be attributed somewhat to the bias of each network. Traditionally, CNN News is very liberal while Fox News is more conservative and takes a hardline approach. The Fox News article title states the outcome of this scandal more directly which would appeal to a more conservative audience while the CNN News article title is more general about the situation at hand and doesn't make any claims as to what the outcome will be.
